Very happy with this external HD. I have a MacBook Pro with a 256GB hard drive and I've been running out of disk space for some of the lectures I'm recording lately. I bought a 128GB internal SD card and a 128GB USB drive, but they only lasted a year before I basically filled them up too. So I switched to this bad boy. I actually find it faster than my USB SSDs and SD drives even though it's a hard drive. It certainly seems durable. I haven't thrown it against a wall or anything, but I'm sure it will hold up. I bought the recommended case because I'm paranoid and plan on tossing this thing in the bottom of my backpack. I think with this case it could probably get run over by a truck and be ok, and with the storage case I have room for both a super short carry cable (on the drive itself) and a slightly longer cable. that he will come too. I have since recommended this CD to some of my friends as we will be sharing video lectures and photos across the country and I am sure this CD will do that. I'll edit if it breaks!
