As others have noted, this is a bit larger than the size, most likely due to the manufacturer giving you room to add sock layers. I'm a size 12 and their 12 only slips a little in the back while wearing regular cotton socks. While wearing regular cotton socks, these shoes keep my feet toasty warm and dry. I have stomped through a few puddles unintentionally and the overspray hasn't soaked into the top. Since they're lows, I'd still avoid any puddles over 4 inches as you run the risk of water coming in over the top of the shoe from over splash. The only drawback is the insulated footbed. The material and the pad itself is somewhat thin on the toe and ball area. I think it's wool or a wool-ish material and it is prone to balling and pilling after a long walk or two. I've regularly had to remove the pills as they rub against the balls of my feet and have irritated and created sore spots on the balls of my little toe and big toe. This removal process also removes the existing material a bit which is leading to thin spots in the footbed.Thankfully the rest of the shoe is also insulated and I'm going to try replacing the stock insulated insoles with the Keen K-20 insole to see if my feet remain just as warm without the irritating pilling.Would definitely buy again.
