It's very easy to fit a 10" spout to my Big Berkey. Based on other reviews I only reused the seals that were on the original pipe - no leaks. We used the installation as an opportunity to clean the filters and tanks so there were two filters. Works very well and makes it easy to see how much water is left. Keep in mind that Berkey filters water slowly, so be aware and allow plenty of time for this. to get your job done before relying on water level accuracy. The weight is worth it as it eliminates the need to constantly lift the top unit to check the water level (and the possibility of hitting/damaging the filters in the process). welcome addition.
