Bought a Bose Companion 20 speaker for the first time. Then I bought a Klipsch Promedia 2.1 system. It was better than the Bose, better bass and a little more treble. But I still wish I had tone controls so I could boost the high frequencies. While I had a Klipsch system, I got a Peachtree Audio M24 and a Polk Audio PSW10 subwoofer. This combination blew my mind. The M24s would be great with or without a subwoofer. I also found that while the M24 now has tone controls, they are not needed. The sound is so clear that voices and high frequencies are easily audible when the speakers are set to "flat" levels. No need to boost high frequencies. I also wanted a better sound source than my PC's speaker jack, so I used the USB input. There is a definite difference in sound quality. Now I like my whole setup. The music and TV/movies are amazing.
