It definitely does what it says on the packaging. Easy to use, pretty easy to clean, I like the taste of coffee. This is our first thermograph and I don't know why we used glass before. It is brewed directly in a sealed pot and then stays hot for hours. Even HALF the pot was still warm enough to drink after five hours. This is much better than leaving half a glass pan on the stove for several hours, slowly evaporating the water, risking a fire and wasting electricity. As soon as this machine has finished making coffee, it switches off. Cons: It's a little noisy when brewing and makes a few more burps and jingles than I'd like, but not terrible. For the price, it's hard to complain. Also, I seem to be missing two rubber feet on the bottom of the unit, but that's easy enough to deal with tech and a spare rubber mat.
