I took this keyboard with me on trips. I had a cheap one that refused to insert spaces while I was typing unless I firmly pressed the spacebar. I replaced it with a much better keyboard but it was full size and great for home use but didn't fit in my laptop bag. This Macally keyboard performs as expected and is compact enough to fit in my laptop bag. As far as I can tell, the key spacing etc. is exactly the same as my MacBook Pro. The keys "go" don't go very far, which suits me. It's just a matter of personal preference. What I particularly like is that while it's a compact keyboard, it has a full-size numeric keypad, which I use quite a bit.
