They are silicone, they get dirty very easily, I can't even wipe all the dirt off the white I bought. Unlike the original Halo strap, it doesn't catch on the wider end of the strap, it falls off. It's easy to put on, but holding it in the right position will definitely tighten the band, and it's 100 times more annoying than the original band. I only bought this because the large group I picked from the start is now too large (thanks to Halo tracking, programming, and general motivation) and I didn't want to pay $30 for the Halo brand, but TBH , you get what is paid for. I will be purchasing a Halo brand medium strap.
