My 2 year old first played with Rody Horse at my cousins house and it was love at first sight. We bought her one for her birthday and she had a huge smile on her face. She loves jumping on her horse rod. This is a great core training toy that helps with balance and it's great to see her getting better and better on the horse every time she sits on it. She's a year under the recommended age, but as long as she's not near anything to fall on and hit her head if she really stops jumping, then she's fine. It will be a great addition to the playground and will delight you for many years to come. If you have a traditional bicycle pump at home, you do not need to purchase an additional pump to inflate the product. Contains 2 plugs (1 included) and pump adapter. I was able to inflate it faster by hand (using my mouth to stuff) and then use a bike pump to cure it.
