Although these boots hold the foot at a right angle, they are a little clunky. But that's the only negative. I've tried many night tires without boots and they just didn't support my foot. This product provides the gentle calf stretch needed to get rid of plantar fasitis. The padding is nice and soft and the straps are attached to each part of the boot with Velcro. A wedge is good for extra stretch. And if you don't want to sleep in it, wear it to read or watch TV. Anytime is better than never! I ordered another one as I have PF on both legs. By the way, these shoes are big, I wear women 8.5, and the middle ones were too big, took the small ones.
