I work in a place where ties shouldn't be worn, but I LOVE wearing ties. It's an academic environment that values individualism. For that reason, a tie that emphasizes art, is thought provoking, and looks fairly distinctive makes a great tie for me. This is a very bright tie - not demure at all. However, the intensity of the design is somewhat subdued by a simple, soft color scheme. I get compliments every time I wear this tie. Do it - you know what you want.
