Review on Topmart 2-Tier Foam Dog Ramp & Steps - Ideal Dog Stairs For Injured, Older Cats And Joint Pain Relief by Buddy Colbert

a must to keep obese dogs from injuries

I adopted a 19lb (obese) chihuahua. I quickly learned that unlike the other 7 chihuahuas I’ve shared my life with, she could not jump on to the divan or the bed. She’d make a pitiful attempt and miss and sort of…flop into the side of the mattress. It was sad. If I put her on the bed, she’d jump off, which seemed like a potential disaster to me, especially considering 19lb+tiny bones+knee issues due to her weight.Someone gave me a hand-me-down set of dog stairs, but it was plastic, which 1. was fugly and 2. terrified both my dogs with the texture and noise. I ordered this thinking they’d never use it, but both of them required almost no direction. It is attractive enough to not look out-of-place with the rest of the room, and weighs almost nothing (meaning it is easy to move around). Soft enough that it feels similar to my wedge pillow, but sturdy so that constant up-and-down of one tiny and one obese Chihuahua don’t affect it at all. I never had a ramp before, but will always continue to use this even after she is a healthy weight, to protect all those tiny legs!

Pros
  • My little dog is more comfortable using this step verses his other that was hard plastic.
Cons
  • Returned item coz its too small in height
