Review on 💡 EVGA 210-GQ-1000-V1 1000W GQ 80+ GOLD Power Supply – Semi Modular, EVGA ECO Mode, 5 Year Warranty, Black by Steve Hardy

I give 3 stars but don't know why. I really want to give him one or two, but 3 because it works. most of time. I bought this to replace a Rosewill 1000w power supply which was starting to give me intermittent power drops and restarts. I removed my old PSU, plugged in all the cables and my fan controller power line started to burn. I thought, well, I rarely use regulated fans; I can live with it. All manually controlled fans off, case closed and booted up. Only the fans connected to the MB caught fire. Those connected to the case were the dark ones. And I noticed that normally the lights don't come on on the DVD. I redid some of the wiring and managed to run 120mm fans on the top of the case. Whenever I applied power to the front external and internal fans, the PSU would click, blink, and stop. above, one below. Now only two are working, connected to the mountain station, plus two more controlled by the MB. Maybe my power supply is defective. I hope so because I've never seen anything like it in 11 years in Navy IT and 30 years in IT in general. Edit: I reinstalled the Rosewill along with the old cables and everything worked right away. except of course the fan control and the optical drive. I will be returning this one and I think I will buy another Roseville.
