This product works great right out of the box. Just plug it in and connect the cables in the order of your choice (priority) and then in your set. The auto switch works well for my needs as I need to use 4 component video cables. There are 3 component video/S-Video inputs on the rear and one on the front. Component Video/S-Video is also on the back. Both the input and the output have an F connector for coaxial cable. The only downside is that you have to select the output you want (coaxial or component/S-Video. It's not suitable for video, but the audio jack still outputs via component stereo or something. It would be nice if when no device was on the two lights on the front would go out, but that doesn't matter. The switch also has auto, manual, and scan modes to choose from. Suction cups for vertical positioning are good too, they also attach for horizontal positioning.
