This is a typical silk tie with a lining that gives it a strong shape and makes it easy to tie and dimple. The width is medium, not skinny but not chunky either. The finish has some shine but it is negligible and depends on the angle of the light. There are no obvious problems with the seam yet. All in all this is a good tie. Probably in the $35-$50 range at a department store. I would suggest that the best packaging is a rigid piece of cardboard as silk creases easily in transit and the creases are difficult to iron out.
