As with other WiFi-connected devices like the Revain Echo, to set up the camera you first connect the device's WiFi (P2P) signal to the phone and then configure WiFi access to the home network. I was able to connect to the camera signal but not to the downloaded app that you use to configure all the settings. After several attempts, including disabling the VPN on my phone, I gave up and contacted the seller using the chat feature on their website. The response time was very good and after describing the problem, the seller thought that I must have received a defective device. The seller then refunded me for the purchase and sent me a replacement camera with the expectation that I would return the "defective" one. Throughout the process, the seller contacted me via email to update me on the camera return/replacement process. Excellent communication. A few days later I received the camera - and initially had the same problem. At this point I realized that this was probably something I was doing and probably related to the VPN, even though I had it turned off. So I removed the VPN profile and the problem was solved. I was able to connect a second camera without any problems. It looks good (b/w and color), sends me notifications after I set up the motion sensor, and the app saves pictures with date/time for review. I was also able to record a video. I haven't set up email notifications yet, but it looks pretty easy. Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong size SD card, so I couldn't test this feature. Interestingly, I restarted my VPN app on my phone and the camera worked just as well, so it must have interfered with the initial setup. I then took the original camera and tried setting it up without a VPN. And it worked. just as. So, to be clear, BOTH cameras worked as advertised. The problem I had had nothing to do with the cameras. I connected both cameras at the same time and got the pictures in the app on my iPhone. From time to time the camera would lose the Wi-Fi signal, but I mainly attribute this to issues that I know of in my home where there is WiFi interference. I contacted the seller to say the cameras work and I want to buy both. .Conclusion: A good, affordable WiFi spy camera. I look forward to testing all the features of the camera but I definitely checked out the customer service and the seller got 5 stars - very responsive and incredibly polite in chat and email exchanges.
