replaced a reverse osmosis system with a 3/8" drain with an APEC 5 stage. APEC has a 1/4" drain so I have bought this faucet to hold air. Gap and keep the original waste set. very easy to install, just insert the insert and tighten the Phillips screwdriver. Ears pop up and pulled down. Attach the hoses from below and turn the tap until it clicks. It took me a few tries to get the insert tight enough that it wouldn't move when attaching the faucet. nice looking thing. the spout itself has a machined and polished appearance.
