Review on Bluetooth Portable Speaker Recording Support by Dave Brummet

Painful user interface renders this device useless

It only technically works as you can load MP3s on it and then play them. You have almost no control over how this is done. You can only move lists one item at a time. If you have more than a handful of performers, it will drive you crazy. I have MP3 audio books. If each book is moved to its own folder AND the chapters in the order 01, 02 etc. it will play them in order. Of course, you lose minutes of your life trying to find a specific headline by scrolling line by line. Especially if you're charging your device for a trip or whatever. Only 11 artist characters and album titles are shown on the display. It shows more for the MP3 files themselves and those it scrolls through. This eliminates the trick of naming folders by author and grouping name. Which wouldn't really help because it's line by line to find things. When you copy an m3u file, it shows up as a playlist in the menu, but you always get "no files found" no matter where you go. m3u file in relation to the MP3 file to which it refers. As you've probably guessed, if you put MP3 music files and audiobooks on the same device and then want to use playlists to control the mixing, you're out of luck. The rubber sleeve it comes with has a slot that you can thread a strap through, but I don't think it will hold a hefty device well. I see him getting off the case. There doesn't seem to be a working lock either, so you can't wrap anything around it to hold while you sit down or walk around. I can't think of any use for it other than keeping it on your desk like a mobile jukebox, and then only when you want to mix everything on it. Because here, too, the search for a specific thing takes place line by line.

Pros
  • Hi-Fi lossless sound
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
