I chose the Oral-B Complete SatinFloss thread, which comes in the form of a ribbon, so I draw all comparisons to that thread. Pictures comparing the size of a bamboo container and a satin cotton Oral-B container are included, with a tape measure for an approximate size scale. I chose bamboo over a glass container so I don't have to worry about tossing it in my bag and breaking the glass and making a dangerous mess somewhere. Two rolls of dental floss arrived (50m each, one is already in the container). The packaging is a simple little cardboard box and the floss spools are wrapped in small waxed(?) paper. About the bamboo container: the lid and body don't seem like perfect circles. For example, when I first opened the packaging and felt the place where the lid and body meet, I felt like it wasn't smooth. Luckily I was able to rotate the lid/body until the connection fit and the transition was smooth. Just understand, if this little thing is important to you, you need to know about it. You may not have this problem. Attached are photos that will hopefully show the difference. Floss Shape/Feel: This floss is not flat but more rounded than SatinFloss which I ended up liking as it seemed to pick up and eject food between my teeth better. It's neither too thick nor too thin for my personal teeth, although there are a few small gaps that make it difficult to insert the floss. I've attached a few photos comparing the width of the threads held between my fingers. In one of the drawings, I rotated the satin thread to show the "flat" width. I'll also find that the floss appears "stickier" on my teeth - both floss glide across my teeth, but does this floss feel any more scrubbing? on my teeth I'm not quite sure how to describe it. Although it may be related to the psyche. Longevity: I've cleaned it maybe 7 times so far? ten? And it broke / broke in half once. It surprised me, but it was a relatively clean tear and I didn't have any fibers that got stuck in my teeth with this floss. I don't recall Oral-B attacking me before, but I'm willing to blame it on luck. Overall the thread seems very strong but if it ever breaks again I'll definitely score. It's a nice bonus that the filament is (supposedly) biodegradable. Maybe I'll buy another one for my hand luggage. However, the real test is yet to come; I haven't eaten beef, which I personally like to get stuck in the back between my molars, and it can be painful to remove the floss because the food substance "blocks" the floss from getting between my teeth. Whenever I eat beef and/or this problematic situation arises I will definitely add an update to see if this floss can handle it because for me this is a critical scenario for my flossing needs. Edit (December 22, 2020) ): Thread did a good job with the beef! I was concerned that its round/rather than flat profile would cause problems, but luckily that didn't happen. The thread has snapped twice more since I originally wrote it, but it snapped in the middle and I was able to use the two halves to finish the job. For me, the clicking isn't a problem as it doesn't happen often enough to bother me. However, I wear retainers every night and there is one particular spot where I have a really hard time getting the thread in. So if you really need a thin ribbon thread profile to get between the gao, you're going to have a hard time with this thread. Again, this is just a blank for me, so I can live with this thread. Note: The thread pulled back into the container once so I had to rethread it through the small hole in the cap. To avoid this problem, I shake the container after pulling out the right amount of filament to get as loose as possible, and then cut the filament a little looser, not tight. This was enough to keep the filament spool from swinging and pulling the filament through the hole.
