Blades rust slightly, otherwise perfect

Blades rust after the first wash. Maybe it's because I only washed it a day after putting it down with dirty dishes, but either way I feel like it shouldn't have rusted so easily. The lid is difficult to attach. Also, he chopped/chopped the garlic and onion well.
