I bought an Air Ram for restaurant use on a very flat carpet. After the first use I fell in love. Rotates around tables and chairs very easily and I don't have to fiddle with a silly cord. However, after about 3 weeks everything seemed to go downhill. The battery no longer holds the charge it originally had, I went from 4 bar to 1 bar in about 15 minutes and then it just died up to the 20 minute mark. (Battery life should be 30 minutes.) Thinking my battery was dead, I swapped it out for another, but the same thing happened! I charged the battery every day and I don't know if it's rated for this kind of heavy use. Apart from the battery, I also noticed after about 3 weeks that I had to touch the crumbs 3 or 4 times before they sucked. I checked the brush roll for clogs and didn't find anything, but I noticed that the red felt pieces on the bottom of the vacuum were already worn out. (Again, the same thing happened to the original AND the replacement.) With those two issues, I just couldn't justify the $200 price tag when my $45 boxed Bissell works just as well. If Bissell drops the price of the Air Ram to $100 (or if they triple the battery life) I'll consider buying it back, but until then I'll stick with the cables.
