I use wire to spread the glue evenly over documents glued to wood. By wrapping the wire tightly around the entire length of the bare rod, the spreader applies an even, thick layer of adhesive to the back of the document while being pulled through the adhesive applied to the document just in front of the spreader. Spacer - wrapped with a wire of a certain diameter, determines how much glue is deposited between the rows of the wrapped wire. I am very happy with the purchase of this wire
