After moving across town, our old scratching post was in bad shape. This model seemed to offer our family of four the best combination of relaxation and play. We received the item quickly, but the box was badly dented on the way to our door; It was assembled by a carrier to ship to my house. After leaving the box for a few days, I decided to assemble the unit only to find that there was no hardware in the box; My guess is that he fell out of the box through one of the rips and tears he got on his journey. However, I was incredibly frustrated that I pulled out all the parts and prepared them for assembly and then was shut down for lack of consumables. I immediately wrote to the seller and told about my problems. Within hours they offered to send me replacement parts (which would take over 10 days) or a replacement tree (all parts included!) in just 3 days. um Yes. 3 days please And then my replacement arrived on time. Now the cats are happy, I'm happy. It's great to be able to talk about a company that cares so much about customer satisfaction. It's not always easy to find a company like this and I certainly wasn't expecting to find one from a cat tree dealer but it's the real deal. The tree itself is easy to assemble, except for the supports inside. Drawers: Aligning their top and bottom with the screw holes in the adjacent cylinder was tricky as hell, and the original cylinder was quite difficult to assemble with just one person. (The bricks aren't solid cubes like the previous trees we've had. The top and bottom are solid, and the sides are just fur.) Otherwise, I assembled them in about half an hour using just the provided ones. Allen key and makes a very stable impression at first glance. There is a spot where the fur on the back of a locker hasn't been fully sewn up, but this isn't visible and doesn't seem to affect the wear and tear of the unit. One of the most attractive features of our fur family was a set of three "noseies". As you can see from the photos they are really well padded, with puffy edges that make for a cozy night's sleep. The overall height is such that the top perch places the cats at eye level when I'm standing; I think they really enjoy this new perspective as they spend most of their time sitting or climbing the peak. Ultimately, that's not my opinion, it's my cats' opinion, but I feel totally safe giving it a thumbs up.
