Review on AUDIOVOX Remote Antenna Rotator VH226F by Andy Baker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Frequent recalibration, missing brake

I use this with my light (mast mount and antenna mast to rotator mount are included. "Cons" well. First, the rotator has no brake. This means the wind can blow the antenna, so you'll have to calibrate it as often as that Wind blows.Secondly, the calibration shifts itself. It means that after rotating the antenna back and forth 2-3 times, the direction will deviate by 5-10 degrees. The more times you use it, the further it will drift.Recalibration can bring it closer again Third, the official product information that accompanies the device makes no claim as to how much wind load it can handle or what the maximum moment is. that your antenna may have. A few additional complaints: I can't find a schematic for this device (I've searched a lot on the internet), or maybe I've found an alternative control system. The cable clamp on the controller terminals has screws that go into thin plastic! Therefore, it is of little use for stress relief. Why is he even there? And digital display in ten degrees. The minimum rotator movement is much less than this. So, for example, if the display reads "13," you don't know if you're at 130 degrees, 139 degrees, or somewhere in between. LEDs are cheap! The designers could have added one number more. If you have a small antenna, little wind and don't plan to rotate the antenna often, then this block might suit you. It can also work if you have enough patience and little money. Otherwise keep shopping.

Cons
