I tried to use it in a baby bath seat to add a little more cushion. Whilst this adds to the comfort, the next night was still wet so there was not enough time between baths for it to dry completely. Because of this, I was afraid of developing bacteria or mold. It's basically a giant sponge, and sponges need to be changed at least once a month. So you have to constantly buy more for such a pillow to keep it hygienic. I really liked the little sponges that came with it. Some of the eyes still had parts cut out so check them carefully before letting your child hold them as they could come off and they could eat them. Also, they break if you pull on them, so I wouldn't let a kid actually grab them. However, we use them in the bath and they are soft and lather well.
