The suit served it’s purpose. It kept my Aussiedoodle from licking her incision after she was spayed. She wore it 24/7 since she could pee/poop with it on. She wore it for about a week. During that time I removed the suit one time for a couple hours so I could wash it and brush her. After about a week I took it off for good since she had no interest in her incision. She was severely matted on her chest and also had some mats on her back. The suit caused friction with her hair and she became a tangled mess. I don’t know if the type of fabric caused it or just the friction in general. She was groomed two weeks prior to her surgery. She had to go back to the groomer after the suit came off and she was shaved down to nothing. (See picture) For size reference she weighs 39 lb and her suit is a Medium. It was taught on her because she’s long but it stretches (material is thin) and I thought the fit was good but a Large could have worked too. Maybe a looser fit wouldn’t mat as much? 🤷‍♀️She didn’t mind wearing it at all.
