I got this hook and immediately tried to install it. It fits fine on its own, but with my hitch mounted fenders they hold it too far to fit the pin in the rear mounting hole. I contacted B&W to see if the 7" version has a longer shaft with holes further apart. This is not. Shaft length is 2 inches longer, but my Superduty only has a flat stroke with 35-inch tires. I was afraid he would pull badly on dips. Opinion. The standard 2" non-adjustable hitch is about halfway through the 5" drop adjustment, leaving 2 more holes to drop lower in 1" increments. I was torn between the 5" and 7" hitch, but for $50 more than the 7" hitch I decided to give this a try. If I had to do it again, I could pay extra for an additional adjustment. OR if you want to increase the capacity of your truck.
