I got them at my baby shower 2.5 years ago and have been using them every day since day one. They have become an unexpectedly important part of my day. They appear to be interchangeable with Luvable Friends washcloths as well as similar brands (I have a mix and can't tell them apart without unwrapping the labels). The thin terry fabric (and yes they are definitely thin) was really great, it was the perfect balance for me. They are easy to wring out, but absorb moisture well, but dry quickly. I've never enjoyed cleaning with washcloths, having to wring them out with two hands was always more of a nuisance than a sponge, it really gives me the best of both worlds. They're thin enough for me to quickly wipe little hands, it's very easy to get into the odd crevices of the high chair, and I often use them to quickly wipe down the counter before bed. BTW I hate muslin washcloths, they are TOO flimsy and flimsy. They just crumple and drive me crazy. (I loved muslin diapers. I hate washcloths.) These washcloths have grown with us. 1) I kept them in a little box on my changing table at first, they were great for preventing urinary accidents or for the ultimate perfect wash and dry to prevent diaper rash. We easily used 5 a day. 2) When solid food came I kept a batch in the kitchen to take one to clean, either for the baby or for the high chair (or for the floor. ugh). 3) Now that our kid is cleaning up his spills, they're the perfect size for him to take out of the kitchen and do everything himself. 4) We even keep a stack of white wine next to our espresso machine to clean the steam nozzle and around the machine. The thickness is ideal because the steam nozzle saturates it quickly, so we don't have to go to the sink. I toss them in a wire basket I keep in the kitchen and on wash day they go with my towel. I always use an enzymatic cleaner like Charlie's Soap or Rockin' Green so I don't have to worry about mold or weird food smells. From time to time when some get dirty I soak them in OxiClean a little. The color has faded somewhat over the years but not critical. At this rate I use at least 3 a day, they go through the wash all the time but hold up. I've never had a problem rolling them up or anything, they're pretty easy to fold, it just doesn't bother me because I go through them very quickly and they don't show up in the drawer. Sign up for them, so you had to track them down to add to gift baskets for other new parents. While the current ones are still in great shape, I'll be ordering more for baby #2 along the way. I'll also try some thicker ones from Under the Nile & Grovia for the changing table to see what I like best. However, I feel like I've found a great kitchen tool in them. And because they work so well in a toddler cleaning kit, I don't think they'll be usable any time soon. I just wish they would do more neutral colors like grey, navy and black.
