I bought this cable to help with my newly purchased BMW. I usually enjoy working on my vehicles and having the right diagnostic tools is paramount. This cable worked great with both my floor support (with an ethernet adapter) and my old Lenovo laptop, and I had no problem communicating with my car. I have used both Esys and ISTA+ to verify that ENET is working properly and to get residual codes and other information. I highly recommend reading the Process User Guide as both tools are very powerful and require learning. Generally a necessary item for any BMW owner I intend to do home diagnostics.
