I was skeptical after reading previous reviews. But some showed that it was good. I haven't seen many Tundra models from my year of manufacture, which is 2011. I watched a YouTube video where a guy used Windex to lubricate the inside and outside of a part. It looked easy enough. I did the same and had no problems. A pair of pliers with needles to remove the old base and the bottom of a screwdriver to press on the flat part that is flush with the antenna body. Installation took less than three minutes and worked on my truck. I was pleased with the workmanship of the product for the price. I also had no problem gluing it to the quarter molding. I can't speak for other model years but it worked on my 2011 Tundra.
