I've been a gamer for decades but only recently started playing Final Fantasy 14. I've played a lot of MMOs in the past, but FF14 is unique in the amount of skills Toon has and I hate bringing my hand together to reach the alt, ctrl, shift key combinations. And I use a trackball mouse, so it's extremely difficult to get a mouse with more than 4 buttons that I like. Macros with multiple possibilities. I have a gaming headset with a built in microphone, but I wanted to play FF14 with my wife in the same room and hear her and the game sound without headphones.
