Luckily for other reviews I was able to wear this. A photo shows that the work is half done. Another shows me using painters tape to find and remove the plastic backing. When I first opened it I thought the direction was wrong and this thing can't have a plastic back. But then I took someone's suggestion and put tape on either side of the corner and rubbed it in place before carefully peeling it off. Voila, there it was. As proof I showed a photo of the plastic backing, hehe. I cut off a large piece and peeled off the backing once to make it easier. Then I cut out individual pieces and they glued perfectly to the window. The smoother side faces the window. First, I used a small damp paper towel to dampen the window. I hope this helps others to simplify the process. Now I have complete privacy but there is some light coming through which is what I wanted.
