Okay, a small flaw.
They are very useful. They offer good, tight control and are fairly reproducible. A problem I found with one of mine was that one of the screws holding the MOSFET to the heatsink was tight but wasn't clamping the MOSFET properly. I was able to solve the problem. But without repair it would overheat.
