I love the industrial/semi-steampunk style of these lamps. Using the same bulbs as my regular table lamps, the lighting in the room now has a whole different dynamic. I would definitely recommend not using "white" or "cool white" LED bulbs with these bulbs. Opening and closing the top to add/remove lamps is quite difficult. Before installing the lamps, you should practice with the clamps. You will need additional nuts for assembly. I had to use four extra nuts, one for each lamp, to ensure the base mounting screws were properly tightened. Overall, the installation was a bit tricky, but not that difficult. Also make sure you tighten the large nut VERY snugly on the back where the extension goes into the base. If you go for the cord/socket option, I recommend securing the cord to the wall with cord clips or something similar. (That's what I do.) Overall, I'm VERY pleased with the look and function of these lamps.
