I needed a good USB DAC with mic input that can be used with both PC and PS4. I was very disappointed when I plugged in my headphones to listen to music on my computer only to hear how awful everything sounded. On top of all that was that nasty distortion you can get from $5 USB audio solutions. But when the thing costs more than 20x, you expect something better. Even after playing around with the software and reinstalling the drivers a few times, it still sounded terrible. Headphones also have noise when nothing is playing. Wonderful! And while they advertise this thing extensively as a "gaming DAC," it adds noticeable audio latency to your games (both PC and console). The software they force you to use is garbage too. I don't need to install a smartphone app or create an account to use the USB DAC. This is truly the age we live in. On top of that, it sounded just as bad on the PS4 as it did on my PC. i like the price However, it's almost impossible to like when they charge so much for this junk.
