I bought 2 of these for my 2 pit bulls. I figured at this price, it wouldn't be too big of a loss if they were destroyed in an hour. I've previously bought indestructible toys made of fire hose material and spent $15 only to have them merked in 10 minutes. Today is Tuesday and I've had these toys since Friday and they're a little ragged around the edges but are still intact and the squeakers still work! My girls can usually surgically remove a squeaker from a toy in about 30 seconds. I don't leave toys laying around, if they are playing with them or chewing on them I put them out of reach but since this is how I've always allowed them toys I don't think that it's made a difference.
