I was disconcerted to open the package and discover that I had accidentally bought two bundles of these socks, but after trying them out I wasn't unhappy to have the second bundle, because I really like the socks. They have a nice thickness: heavier than most of my cotton socks, but not so thick that my shoes feel cramped (like with wool socks). They have a nice soft texture and fit well on my average-sized foot.
