Review on 🎧 Space Grey Bowers & Wilkins PX5 Wireless On-Ear Headphones with Noise Cancellation by Wiktor Winiewski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I was surprised by the quality for the price.

When buying, I chose from Dali IO-6; Bose QuietComfort 35 II; B&W PX Soft Gold; Bang & Olufsen (can't remember the model) and B&W PX5. After getting acquainted with the latter, I realized that these headphones are the best option for me. Headphones immediately and without problems connected with all my devices, including TV and laptop. I installed a proprietary application for controlling headphones on my smartphone, I will say that it is very convenient and useful. I immediately saw that there was an ate for the software, but for some reason I couldn’t my smartphone, but I managed from another. After the ate, the connection became faster, some errors disappeared, for example, now you can adjust the volume in the ambient sound mode, by the way, a very good thing: I use it when I pay at the checkout in the supermarket, before the software ate, when watching a video, the sound lagged significantly behind the image , which frankly annoyed, now there is desynchronization, but almost imperceptibly. Headphones sit comfortably on the head, the ear cushions are very soft, provide a sufficient level of comfort, and good passive noise isolation. The sound is detailed and tonally balanced, quite "live" and not dry and analytical. Good bass (exactly as much as needed), clean, clear without turbidity and rumble. The middle is transparent and spacious. The upper frequencies are clean and clear, the music sounds with excellent dynamics. I would like to note active noise cancellation, which does not spoil the sound at all, but now, when I am walking along a noisy road or riding in transport, I can listen to music at a low volume and the surrounding sounds do not interfere at all. Three modes: HI, LOW and AUTO allow you to adjust the volume of external noise penetration. Many thanks to the consultants of the Pult. Ru Hong Kong store for their patience and help in choosing equipment.

Pros
  • First of all, this is of course sound, active adaptive noise reduction, good passive noise reduction, seamless pairing with different devices, design, soft, comfortable ear cushions, a beautiful case, support for Bluetooth 5.0 and a number of codecs - SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD and the new aptX adaptive.
Cons
  • According to my feelings, they are a bit heavy for overhead headphones: they sit comfortably, do not press, the ears do not get tired, but when the head is tilted, the headband begins to slide and the headphones strive to fall off (perhaps due to the anatomical features of the head), in general, do not actively move in them, Therefore, when buying, I recommend paying attention to how they will sit on you. It didn't take long to ate the software.
