Our house is not big but of decent size. We have our main desktop computer, modem and router on the 1st floor in the corner. My son's bedroom is upstairs and on the exact opposite side/corner of our house. He was complaining that his video games were lagging, which doesn't make sense since we have a high speed connection. I added this amp upstairs in the guest room which is about halfway between the two. It was surprisingly easy to set up if you followed the instructions that came with it.
