Darker edge color is literally tinted. he didn't get drunk. then I noticed a dark brown scratch around the edges so I scratched it and to my surprise it was spray paint. So I sanded down the paint and wallet with sandpaper and then soaked up their ink oil. A very cheap method had to be used to make this color of leather, the quality of the purse is ok but I didn't get the look I wanted as it is now tan. Not recommended unless you like a lighter color and don't want to sand the color.
