If your boy is at the upper end of the age range when it comes to height, order one size up so he can wear him longer.
Good quality and nice tie. My son is 10 years old and I gave him a tie for 8-10 years. It worked but it had to be the next size up because I had to work hard to tie it because I had to leave the small tail piece very small and he can't carry it anymore as he's growing like weeds. My son is also small for his age.
