Giving this little goof five stars consistently, I don't mean that you'd be surprised when you compare it to speakers worth $300+. But for less than $20, this is exactly what I wanted. Sometimes I have to use a computer that has a worse speaker than those singing on Hallmark cards. Not only does this speaker solve that problem, it's ten times easier to use than the one I bought shortly before (which I'm now returning). The other speaker had two wires, a power button that wore out after just a few weeks, and a sleep function that was really annoying. But this speaker has only one cable, no buttons and no sleep function. You don't even have to tell the computer to redirect audio to the speaker (which I had to do with the previous product). You literally just plug it in and you're done. The sound from your computer simply plays through the speakers as it should. Plus, a single USB cable provides both power and audio connectivity. So, I just plug it in and drive. When I'm done, I turn it off. No shutdown, nothing. It couldn't be easier. And the audio is WAY louder than the computer's crappy built-in speaker. I mean, of course it doesn't compare to something that costs ten times more. But who cares? It was cheap, works great for what I need and I'm very happy with this purchase.
