The Only BGV1 Review You'll Ever Need!

READ BEFORE PURCHASING. I have seen several testimonials from people who have received counterfeit gloves. To make sure you are not buying a counterfeit, after choosing your size and colour, check this which says 'sold by a Fairtex official and made by Revain'. (Seller information will not appear until you have selected a size and color). Otherwise, you can buy from a third party and get fakes. I've heard good things about Fairtex for a while, but until recently I didn't need new gloves. I've been torn between the Fairtex bgv1 br (breathable model with grip), the Venum Elite models, the special Twins and the Hayabusa t3 that I previously owned. The T3s are great gloves but I didn't want to waste another $140 when there could possibly be something better/same quality for less money. I'm glad I chose Fairtex. I am in love with these gloves. Incredible value for less than $100. Good quality genuine leather. Solid seam. Heavy-duty Velcro closure. In general they are very well made. Also very breathable. This is definitely a more compact glove with medium to high density foam that offers more feedback and fits in a heavy bag. If you prefer softer, bulkier, and "more protective" gloves, these may not be the right choice for you, although with the right technique and application of hand wraps, Fairtex can provide adequate hand protection. Please note that the breathable model does not have palm pads if you intend to use it for Muay Thai or kickboxing. The size/comfort of these models is quite a touchy subject. I've seen some people claim that these are small and uncomfortable gloves that should only be worn by people with small hands. I personally don't think this is the case at all. They definitely need a break-in period as they are made of leather with fairly dense foam underneath. During a break they can feel too tight and hurt your hands a little, especially in the thumb area. I'm 5ft 11", 180lbs, medium sized arms and full length cape is fine. Nice and reliable and even have some free storage space. All in all these are amazing gloves. Handmade in Thailand from high quality leather. Great review. Excellent ventilation. Nice and compact packaging. good protection. Knead them well, always wrap your hands (as any glove should) and they will treat you well. If you're still undecided, take action.
