I bought these based on previous reviews for comfort/pain relief while running. I'm training for a half marathon and I feel pain in my calves around mile 11. I wore them for a run today and had to stop just before mile 5 because my legs were tingling. This is the first time for me! The compression bandage around my ankles cut off blood flow to my legs and they began to swell. Another 1st for me! I've never had this problem before so I removed the compression sleeves and was able to walk another 6 miles in about 20 minutes which allowed the blood to return to my legs. I wouldn't recommend them for long distance runs. I know the 2016 reviewer bragged about how great they were, so I'm guessing the bands must have changed since then. I really wish they would work like the 2016 reviews said. So disappointed!
