When the transmitter picked up the transmitter, it worked well. Not great but good enough to hear the song. We took it on a trip from Michigan to South Korea, and wherever we went (plains, mountains, valleys) I struggled to find a station that the station would pick up. Strong interference between radio and transmitter. I took a reviewer's advice and kept the station as far away from the radio as possible. Sometimes it helped, sometimes not. I expected more reliability and dependability from the Monster product. Considering the price, I shouldn't have swung that high. Nonetheless, I would recommend this channel. This worked well enough to play music in places where radio reception wasn't available. And that's better than taking a stack of CDs with you on a cross-country trip!
