Fuel Air Diagnosis is tricky and you need this tool.

This tool operates at 2000 degrees when properly placed. not true, but makes it clear how quickly "read” really is. Display on a 4 cylinder engine when the connector is seated on the exhaust manifold connection faster than the eye can follow. It goes over the top when your system is lean and it may look like a glitch, but it's only telling you the truth. It's a learning tool that tells you what you wanted to know right away, whether you like the result or not. For example, reading 12.5 at idle simply indicates that your fuel air and external manifold has been compromised when the idle setting is at its optimum level. This usually happens when you've eliminated some of the engine's design features. More air makes the reading more akin to what the engine was originally designed for. A careful study of this tool and the truth it tells you will tell you what you want to know and what you could be doing differently. Most modern engines have a dozen or more small parts that keep the exhaust looking clean while providing the best "clean" economy. This result required a lot of engineering work. I have no idea how long the oxygen sensor will last. Don't expect a factory to help you with your project. It's not their job to teach you how to use what this tool tells you to do. Understanding the process is enough, and most of us will never know nearly everything there is to know about an engine. What most people need to know is what happens at the top end of the rpm, as too much or too little fuel will cost you horsepower and horsepower. A cruising speed of 60 mph on flat ground might be 17 and 12 outdoors. Do some research online and find out about your system. Without this tool, you're really in the dark when something needs to be changed.
