I started listening to podcasts and audio books. Shower time is as good or better than any other time for this activity, but my tablet didn't produce enough volume for my aging ears. So I bought Sound pOp for myself and am very happy with it. It charges quickly via the laptop's USB port, although I highly recommend taking a 5V adapter with you when traveling with Sound pOp. Luckily, you can use Sound pOp while loading, which I think is a huge plus. The sound of Sound pOp is surprisingly good. The voice reproduction is excellent. Voices sound natural, free from the tinny tone often found in laptop speakers and cheap external speakers. Music sounds good, although it lacks extreme bass and treble. The output volume is also unexpectedly good. It's loud enough to hear in a reasonably quiet, good-sized room. Some motel heaters/air conditioners easily drown it out. Bluetooth pairing was flawless and fast. Sound pOp can only be paired with one device at a time. As I walked through our home, the reception started dropping at about 20 feet. I haven't fully tested the phone controls, but I tested the device's microphone with Skype and it produced good sound quality at a reasonable volume. All in all a great device at a good price. Works great for its intended purpose both in the shower and elsewhere. I like it. Jerry
