They are more attractive in real life, maybe a little more subdued. That's a plus for my husband. This is his second pair of Brooks and we are happy with this brand. He ran 4 miles this morning and came home with happy feet which is great for a first outing in new shoes. The rounded toe is much more comfortable as the toes have room to move. Landing is excellent and quite soft. 4X is ideal for wide feet. I bet he will have a third pair of Brooks in the future when they are more than 10.5 4X wide.
