Edge protection comes off quickly

This is a pretty solid paddle, but the guard came off the paddle pretty quickly. By that I mean he was weak for the first few weeks he owned the paddle. A friend of mine also has a Paddletek (he has a Bantam EX-L) and had the same problem. Also, I feel like some of the hits come across as flat. I don't know if this is related to the loose edge protection or if it's just a general issue with the paddle. While I'm enjoying my experience with it overall, I don't recommend it and will likely consider a different brand when it comes time to buy a new one.

Pros

PERFECT HANDLE SIZE. This legendary pickleball bat is easy to use and looks great in the game. Bantam's polycore delivers fast response and incredible power.
