We bought two of these for a 2 year old and a 5 year old. We had a 12 hour non-stop flight. This worked great for a 2 year old to last. We laid her head on the footstool and she slept so very comfortably. She didn't seem too comfortable with her feet on the footstool. It didn't work for a 5 year old girl because she is bigger. However, she used it diagonally and placed her feet on the footstool. We flew with Delta. I know others have said they don't suffer whether it's legal or not. We didn't give anyone the opportunity to say no. We just blew them up while we were in the air. No one disagreed or said anything.
