I like to have a cup of coffee in the evening (without caffeine, of course, otherwise I wouldn't sleep all night). I also like to lean back on my comfortable couch and get involved in politics or take online courses. My large comfortable sofa has large soft armrests. It's an enticing place to put my mug, as I really don't want to keep bending over to pick it up off the coffee table, and there's no room for a table at the end. But I fight back. This is an accident. So I looked at different options like coasters with "legs", low tables with armrests and tables that slide on the couch. Let me add one thing: I have two cats. They do crazy things like jump onto a table or the back of a chair without warning. So all these options + cats looked like disaster was waiting in the wings. Eventually I decided to try Couch Coaster and it was just what I needed. It has no surface that cats would be interested in as a perch. If they jump next to him (or if I'm doing something crazy myself) he won't fall off because the material sticks to the couch and is also well weighted. Couch Coaster also has the advantage of being slightly inviting and color coordinated with my sofa. The best part is that I can now really relax with my evening coffee because I don't have to lean back and forth to grab and set it down. It's just there, right on the big armrest, right where I've always wanted it to be.
